Full seating
An aligner worn for many hours but not seated around attachments or tooth edges may not deliver the intended force.
Aligners move teeth only while they are seated and applying the planned force. Wear is therefore part of the prescription, not a general suggestion.

Invisalign Canada states that people typically wear aligners 20 to 22 hours per day. Meals, coffee breaks, cleaning, sport and forgotten reinsertion all count toward removal time. A long dinner and several small breaks can consume the available window.
Track one ordinary week honestly. If the prescribed target is unrealistic, discuss the routine with the office before starting or before the fit deteriorates.

Do not advance because a calendar reminder fires when the current tray has not been worn as prescribed or does not fit.
Fixed meal windows, a visible case and immediate reinsertion work better than relying on motivation.
The Live it stage is where outcomes are protected by routine. Aligners must be worn as directed, removed safely, cleaned sensibly and kept away from heat. Tracking problems, lost trays or unexpected discomfort should be reported rather than hidden until the next scheduled visit.
Wearing an aligner extra hours the next day does not guarantee that missed biological response is recovered. Repeated under-wear can lead to poor seating, delayed changes, refinements or a revised plan.
Not for ordinary active Invisalign treatment unless a clinician has prescribed a specific alternative protocol. Typical wear is most of the day and night.
Continue wearing the current aligner and contact the treating office if fit changes or the missed wear is substantial. Do not invent a new schedule.
Yes. Overnight wear is a major part of reaching the daily total.
